A Great Volunteer Opportunity If You Have Children!

I know it’s still a cold winter out there. But very soon, we will be watching Vernal pools and the woods around them."
We have been observing the pool by the Attleboro Elks Club every year. Last year, we added one by Bucklin Brook and were sad to see that there was no activity. We need volunteers to help us observe more. A great volunteer opportunity if you have children! These temporary bodies of water appear in the spring and offer breeding grounds for all sorts of life including wood frogs and spring peepers. The woods nearby are often home to other life including salamanders. Please help us protect these important places by volunteering to observe the life in and around your Vernal pool.
