The Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Attleboro District is dedicated to serving the needy in our communities.
Like its founder, Frédéric Ozanam, the vision of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is to "embrace the world in a network of charity."
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic organization of lay persons who help those people in need. Organized locally, the Society's work encompasses every form of aid that alleviates suffering and promotes the dignity of people. Activities include home and spiritual aid visits, hospital and nursing home visits and attendance at wakes and funerals to lend comfort to the families of deceased parishioners. Clothing and food collections are conducted for distribution through area food cellars and salvage centers, as well as food vouchers, rent and fuel subsidies and medical aid.
