2010 Year of the Penny - Day 6!
writes, "Praise is a small investment that pays huge dividends. "
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the number one reason people leave their jobs is because they "do not feel appreciated."

In Dale Carnegie’s How To Win Friends And Influence People, one of the most important qualities he mentioned in getting along with people is honest and sincere appreciation.

It costs us so little to say thank you, to show appreciation for people who show they care for us in their words or deeds.

It's the LEAST we can do! It doesn't even cost a penny!

Apparently, alot of people don't have a 'thank you' to their name or if they do, don't realize how much it is needed and APPRECIATED when given.

So, next time you see a penny think about how much a little thing like a word of appreciation means. How does it make you feel when someone values you and your contribution enough to let you know? We never know how impoverished a person may be, how much they need to know someone notices them or cares. The LEAST we can do is acknowledge one another with words of praise.
